The encryption standards that Viivo uses are RSA 2048 and AES-256. This way they are able to protect your data from hackers and other security attacks. Viivo users a multi-level hybrid encryption approach when securing your files, regardless of whether they are personal or shared. Simply put, your files and folders are already encrypted with Viivo when they leave your device, and every time you give access to them they do not need to be re-encrypted.
Viivo creates a key pair using which you can safely exchange keys between collaborators and devices. Your private key is secured through your password, which is only known by you. The Viivo system keeps your keys as private as possible by storing them separately from the cloud storage systems they work with. In other words, your public and private key pairs are kept in separate locations and they cannot be correlated outside the application. However, if for some reason you lose your password or private key, Viivo supports password recovery.
